Cleaning your Elmo Bedding Set

Tips and Tricks for Cleaning your Elmo Bedding Set
It can take a lot of time to clean your kid's Elmo bedding. Usually there are multiple pieces and each piece needs to be cleaned differently and has different sets of instructions. In order to make the cleaning process of the Elmo bedding simple, here are some tips and guidelines:
Comforters and Quilts: If your comforter or quilt is fragile, you will have to hand-wash it. However, if your comforter or quilt is in good condition, then you can just place it in a big washing machine and dryer. Use an all-purpose detergent with cold water.
Blankets and Bedspreads: Bedspreads need to be cleaned before they become soiled. You will have to make sure to treat stains with a spray prewash. Afterwards, check if the bedspread bleeds (this needs to be done before you wash it). If it does bleed, then the only way to clean the bedspread is having it dry-cleaned. If it does not bleed, then you can put it in a washing machine and then try it on a clothes line or dryer.
Cleaning blankets is a bit different. Most blankets can be washed or hand-washed, but you need to treat the stains before you wash it. To get rid of the dust, you can just simply vacuum the blanket and place it on a clothesline so it can fresh out.
Pillows: Just like the rest of the Elmo bedding set, the pillows also have to be cleaned regularly. Since all pillows have different filling, you will have to read the care instructions carefully on how to clean it. In addition, you will want to protect each pillow with a zip-on cotton or polyester cover. To air out the pillow, simply place the pillow by an open window about once a month.
Mattresses: You should turn over your mattress every month. This will keep the mattress in good shape as it allows for even wear on both sides. You should also cover your mattress with quilted or rubberized covers. When cleaning the mattress, make sure the mattress does not get very wet, and make sure it is completely dry before sleeping on it again.
